I'm a little bit fed up with feminism.

I happen to be a man.   A card-carrying penis-dragging male.   Not my idea; I was born this way.   If you don't like it, that's too bad.

I sometimes get the impression that I'm supposed to apologize, or be ashamed, because in the past there were people who looked like me (males) who oppressed other people who don't look like me (females).

I refuse to apologize for what other people did.

Which brings me to the subject of Rodney King.

In Los Angeles, back in 1991, city police arrested Rodney King after a high-speed chase.   After they caught him, four cops beat him, over and over, with sticks.   The police officers were white.   Rodney King is black.

Later, in 1992, when three of the cops were acquitted on assault charges, there were riots.

Here's a little-known fact: Although only four officers participated in the actual beating, there were 21 police officers who stood around and watched.   And did nothing.

And some of those police officers (standing and watching and doing nothing) were female.

Question: What if it hadn't been Rodney King?   What if it had been Clarissa King ... A FEMALE ... being beaten by male police officers?   Would those same female police officers have stood around watching, doing nothing?

No.

I accuse those female officers of being feminist pigs.

A decision based on prejudice is wrong.   Racism is wrong.   Racial profiling is wrong.   So is prejudice based on someone's gender.
