1. Measured generosity; giving only as much as the recipient needs (or is capable of receiving).
2. A situation which rewards you only enough that it keeps you from looking elsewhere for satisfaction a humdrum marriage, or a job that's "barely good enough."
COMMENTS:
This isn't the same as "Six of Cups"-type generosity. It is more restrained and conservative, and less self-sacrificing.
